Call me old fashioned, but there is something special about actually voting on election day. Over the past few days I have had multiple conversations with neighbors on when to vote as to avoid waiting in line. I agreed I would try to go to Precinct 211, my precinct, around 9am. Then I would call some of the moms in the neighborhood so they could vote if it wasn't crowded and I would watch the kiddies in the car.

Polls to vote are open today, August 26, 2008 from 7am to 7pm. The results are typically posted on the Supervisor of Elections web site for the state and Polk County.
