This Week on MetroI4News

Most of the Lakeland Local contributors have moved the majority of their work to MetroI4News.com.

The reason is simple: we’re expanding. At Metro I4 News, we present articles and commentary for the entire Central Florida region.

That doesn’t mean everyone is abandoning Lakeland Local. Just the opposite, as we’re concentrating coverage of Lakeland and adding a few new features over the next few months.

To follow the writers at Mi4, you can add the site to your bookmarks, follow it through your feedreader, and on Twitter.

Why So Orange, Ledger?

This morning’s online Ledger gave me a little jolt. The photo of Barack Obama speaking to WKMG’s Jacqueline London had a heavy orange tint on both their faces. I checked it on three monitors with two machines, so it’s not my system. I wonder what filter the Ledger is using for their photo work?

CBS Reports Obama Will Stop in Lakeland

This morning the CBS site, From the Road, wrote that Barack Obama will stop in Lakeland today:

Obama also campaigns in Florida today where he hosts a 10am town hall meeting on economic security in St. Petersburg, FL. He will stop by a farmer’s market in Polk County on the way to a 3:30 pm meeting with families and business owners at a home dealership in Lakeland where they’ll discuss the mortgage crisis. Later he’ll campaign in Orlando and tomorrow, Obama will address the National Urban League’s conference. — Steve Chaggaris, From the Road

I’m not quite sure what farmer’s market he’ll attend before 3:30 pm. Anyone know which home dealership?

Billy Townsend first reported this on Tuesday.
