Most of the Lakeland Local contributors have moved the majority of their work to MetroI4News.com.
The reason is simple: we’re expanding. At Metro I4 News, we present articles and commentary for the entire Central Florida region.
That doesn’t mean everyone is abandoning Lakeland Local. Just the opposite, as we’re concentrating coverage of Lakeland and adding a few new features over the next few months.

Later he’ll campaign in Orlando and tomorrow, Obama will address the National Urban League’s conference. — Steve Chaggaris, From the Road
I’m not quite sure what farmer’s market he’ll attend before 3:30 pm. Anyone know which home dealership?
Billy Townsend first reported this on Tuesday.

(I know what you’re thinking, but the source for this is not the woman I’m married to, who happens to organize First Friday. I’ve asked her, and she’s heard nothing official or unofficial from the […]
What in the world is this? It’s the Lakeland Local 2.1 I promised the other day. If you’re reading this at LakelandLocal.com you see a whole new site. The big change behind the scenes was a move to WordPress to publish this blog. It means a new look for readers, and a lot of new […]
