Suspended is Now Canceled

The Lakeland Flying Tigers game scheduled for Friday, suspended for Saturday, and rescheduled for today..all due to rain…was canceled. If you guessed it and the regularly scheduled games were also canceled due to rain, you were correct. All three games with the Brevard County Manatees are considered canceled and will not be made up.

The Flying Tigers will attempt to host the Clearwater Threshers Monday night at 7.

Postponed Game Suspended

Friday night rains forced the Lakeland Flying Tigers to postpone their game to Saturday as part of a doubleheader.

Guess what happened Saturday? Yes, rains forced the team to suspend the game until Sunday. The Flying Tigers will try again with a doublerheader starting at 4pm Sunday. The Friday game will pick up in the top of the second with the Brevard County Manatees up 5-1. Per Florida State League rules, each game of the doubleheader will be shortened to seven innings. The Flying Tiger’s haven’t announced if Saturday’s second game will be made up.

Rain Again, Naturally

The Lakeland Flying Tigers were rained out again Wednesday night. This time the host Dunedin Blue Jay lost their fourth home start in five games. The teams play a regular game Thursday night, and a doubleheader in Dunedin on Friday night. After another away sting in Brevard County, the Flying Tigers return home on July 15th to face the Blue Jays.

May 15th LFT Games Canceled for Dblheader May 16th

Both Lakeland Flying Tigers games were suspended or postponed tonight. There will be another try at a doubleheader May 16th with the first game set to start at 4 pm. May 16th is also Brighthouse Day at the park:

The Lakeland Flying Tigers are hosting Bright House Networks annual customer appreciation celebration on Saturday May 16 at Joker Marchant Stadium. Free tickets are available in advance by presenting your Bright House Networks statement to the main ticket office of each stadium. The Lakeland Flying Tigers will be taking on the Brevard County Manatees and the game starts at 4 pm. Gates will open at 3 pm. The game is now a part of a doubleheader. — LFT
