Lakeland Pounds Cubs 13-5

Lakeland combined 17 hits with 11 walks to post a 13-5 win over Daytona on Tuesday. James Robbins led the hit parade with a pair of solo homers and a single while Nick Castellanos, the FSL’s leading hitter, and Tyler Collins each had three hits. Two of Collins’ hits were doubles. Dixon Machado, Avasail Garcia and Luis Alberto Sanz each doubled and singled. Lakeland opens a three-game home series Wednesday at 6:30 pm against Division leading Dunedin.
