Pet Connection with Dr. Mitsie Vargas Debuts Tuesday December 6

Dr. Mitsie Vargas

Lakeland Local is happy to work with Polk’s Government Television and Orchid Springs Animal Hospital to host an interactive webcast series. Aimed at animal lovers, the webcast features Dr. Mitsie Vargas and kicks-off Tuesday, December 6 at 7pm. Viewers can log in on this page to watch the webcast and send in questions and comments.

The inaugural webcast features Dr. Vargas, along with Humane Society director Lisa Baker, groomer Tiffany Santos and AKC certified trainer Christina Crumley. They will discuss top popular breeds, latest grooming trends, easy obedience training tips, as well as the top ten holiday pet hazards and how to avoid an emergency trip to the vet. These experts will answer pet questions and offer advice on the best way to keep pets healthy, happy and safe.

“I’m really excited about this program and the fact that we’re reaching people using technology,” said Vargas. “With this format, we can address specific questions and concerns that pet owners have. But it only works if you go online and IM us during the show!”

“Pet Connection” will feature new webcasts monthly. Future topics include: Alternative Veterinary Medicine: Is it Real or a Fad?, Top Ten Ways of Saving Money on Pet Care, Diabetic Epidemic in Pets, Pet Food Facts and Fiction, Hidden Pet Killers in Your Backyard, Is Your Cat Trying to Tell You Something?

After each live interactive webcast, “Pet Connection” will air on PGTV (Bright House 622, Comcast 5, and Verizon 20).
