Flying Tigers Skid to Double Loss in Brevard County
Game 2: Hunter Morris’ home run to lead off the bottom of the sixth snapped a 5-5 tie and lifted Brevard County to a 6-5 win over Lakeland on Monday. The Flying Tigers scored solo runs in the second and third innings to take a 2-1 lead, but the Manatees put up a four spot in the fourth inning. A Wade Gaynor two-run homer in the fifth cut the lead to 5-4 while singles by Corey Jones, Michael Rockett and Eric Roof tied the game at 5-5 in the sixth. Jordan Lennerton had two singles for Lakeland as eight of the nine starters each had base hits for the Flying Tigers. Lakeland now returns home on Tuesday to open a three-game series against Daytona. — RECAP — BOX SCORE
