Do you have a holiday decorating tradition? Several of my friends turn their holiday decorating into a special family affair or a casual social event. I always play the Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack while I’m hauling in boxes of lights and ornaments.
Christmas decorating can take up the good part of a day (or a week if you are my mother) so I also like to have some snacks for anyone that is helping me. One of my favorite snacks is this clam dip given to me many years ago by a family friend. I love this stuff. I highly recommend serving it with Triscuits. Bon appetite.
1 8oz pkg softened cream cheese
2 heaping tablespoons sour cream
1/4 stick softened butter or margarine
1 level tablespoon dehydrated onion flakes
1 small can minced clams (drained)
Mix everything except paprika and parmesan together. Layer half the mixture in small baking dish or ramekin. Sprinkle with paprika. Add remaining mixture and top with thick layer of parmesan cheese. Bake at 375 degF for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
