That Was the Week that Was – New Beginnings

This is the first of weekly columns that will link to important local stories of the previous week. Pardon me, but for this first column I’ll point to only columns in Lakeland Local. It was a pretty big week for us…

The week ended with news of Ledger Layoffs and a related commentary, but we started the week with a new look and numerous new columnists on Monday, November 15th. True Style, Flip Flop Foodie and Chic Geek all published their first columns. Fashion, food and technology are sure to be popular topics in the coming weeks. We added another commentary column with an introduction from Julie Townsend. Returning columns included the Lakeland Pedaller, On Fitness and Realty Matters, Religion in the City and Dialogue. Longtime Lakeland Local writers Lorrie Delk Walker, Darby Dowdy and Billy Townsend also contributed articles.

For those that missed the photos we featured next to our namepate, I’ll always include them in this column…

Yes, the title of the column is borrowed from an old television show…do you remember it?
