Hit-by-Pitcher and a Home Run and Lakeland Loses to Daytona in Eleventh

In their opener at Daytona, the Flying Tigers started out strong with three runs in the first. The team fell behind when starting pitcher Luke Putkonen let the Cubs scatter six hits for four runs. In the eighth the Flying Tigers batting t score the trying run. The team held the Cubs until the bottom of the eleventh when Flying Tiger reliever Wilfredo Ramirez hit Cub David Macias and gave up a home run to Brett Jackson. Lakeland stays in Daytona for games Tuesday and Wednesday nights. The team returns to Lakeland for a double-header against Brevard County on the 17th.
