It’s the nature of minor league baseball players to move. Players move to fill needs in higher divisions. Players move to work with different coaches…to learn new skills or correct developing problems.
The Lakeland Flying Tigers have already watched a trio of players move up the line.
Appearing in six games, left-handed pitcher Ramon Garcia threw 12 innings, struck out 10, and had an Earned Run Average of 0.63. He moved up to AA Erie on April 24th.
Outfielder Chris White hit only .200 for the Flying Tigers in a mere 10 games. White will have the chance to improve his average in Erie after being sent to the AA team on the 24th.
Ben Guez (at right, with Adam
Wilk) didn’t spend a lot of time this season with the Flying Tigers. He was promoted to AAA Toledo on April 17th.
