Endure to Make Lakeland Debut April 16 at Polk Theatre

Endure, the crime thriller filmed last year in Lakeland, will come to the Polk Theatre for one showing on April 16th at 8 pm. The special showing comes during the film’s festival season. Endure sold out at the Gasparilla International Film Festival. The film has already sold out one showing at the Sarasota Film Festival and seats are limited for a second viewing. You can order tickets for the Polk Theatre show online for $12 per seat.

Endure will also play at the Nashville Film Festival, where Devon Sawa will attend the showing on Sun, Apr 18 at 6:45. Sawa will also attend the Endure after party.

Endure (Joe O’Brien, USA) “A young woman has been abducted, tortured and tied to a tree in the middle of an isolated swamp in central Florida. The only person who knows her location is dead. Veteran detective Emory Lane is called from the bedside of his ailing wife to unravel the mystery. Working with detective Zeth Arnold, the detectives uncover the secret life of the dead abductor and a startling revelation: they’re not the only ones looking for the woman.” — Nashville Film Festival

I have performed volunteer work for the film and the producers.

  1. OMGosh! I went to the 7pm premier screening of ENDURE at the GIFF in Ybor City on Sat. 3/20; it was great!

I really enjoyed knowing that Lakeland was the backdrop for this film. If a man ever wanted to know what it was like to give birth, I’m almost certain that writer/director Joe O’Brien now knows that feeling; or as close to it as humanly possible. [Imagine a baby … “five years in the making”!]

From start to finish, the main characters had to “endure” something; and I got that!

I’ll more than likely buy a ticket to see ENDURE “again” when it comes to the Polk Theater on April 16th.

Congratulations to Joe O’Brien and the team that made this film possible!
