Connecting the Region Through the Movement of People

Continuing the discussion on transportation in the Central Florida region, a conference has been set for February 23rd at the Lakeland Center 9:30 am – 2 pm. Hosted by the Central Florida Development Council, Inc. of Polk County, the conference will feature keynote speaker Pat McCrory. The former mayor of Charlotte, North Carolina was credited with spearheading a 25-year plan to expand bus and light rail in the city.

The conference will include sessions on a super regional transportation overview, Polk County’s future transportation plans, and an opportunity for audience members to question a panel of transportation experts.

A buffet lunch is included in the $30 registration fee. Reservations may be made by contacting Brandy Skinner at (863) 534-2525 or brandy@cfdc.org. Reservations close February 16, 2010.
