City’s Ingraham Avenue Report

As we reported Friday morning from the City Commission Agenda Study, the city has released their report on Ingram Avenue:

2009 Jan 17 #8

“For a number of years there have been conflicting opinions regarding the highest and best use of the section of Ingraham Avenue between McDonald Street and Lake Hollingsworth Drive. To the traveling motorist who resides and/or works in the Lakeland area, Ingraham Avenue is a vital north-south vehicular corridor that provides relatively unrestricted movement between Memorial Boulevard and south Lakeland. To the administrators of Florida Southern College (FSC), this portion of Ingraham Avenue represents a safety and security concern to the numerous students crossing the street as a part of their daily routine while school is in session.”
