Kevin Connolly Isn’t Standing Still This Friday

His 8th album, Still Standing Still, was described as drawing “inspiration from the Texas school of neo-country songwriters such as Guy Clark, Steve Earle, Joe Ely.”

connollyThis Friday (Jan. 8th), Kevin Connolly makes a rare trip away from his New England homebase for gig in Lakeland as part of his Florida Mini Tour.

Connolly’s concert is part of the Friends of Joe Prine concert series held at the Unitarian Universalist Center (3140 Troy Ave)

The show starts at 8pm with Scott and Michelle Dalziel opening. Advance tickets are $10 or $12 at the door. Students are $5 and $7. Children under 12 get in free.

Before the show, Joe’s Cafe opens at 7 with Anne’s Clam Chowder and Scotty’s locally grown organic salad; snacks, beverages; Common Grounds Coffee and Desert Table.

Saturday morning (Jan 9th) at 10am, the Dalziels will play a free mini-show at the Downtown Farmers Curb Market.

You can preview Kevin Connolly Friday morning on the Live Music Showcase on WMNF (88.5 FM) at 9 a.m. We really need to support the live music that comes to Lakeland when we have the opportunity.
