Thriller in Downtown Lakeland

October 5, 2009 | Meredith Spresser | 4 Comments

Like about 300 of my fellow Lakelanders, I was on South Kentucky for the fabulousness that was the re-creation of Michael Jackson’s Thriller. Thankfully, one of Florida Dance Theatre’s board members recorded it, and I am posting the link here for this who missed the event.

I’m also, rather belatedly, posting some photos of the dance performance at Platform Art Party #14. That was a great performance, as well. Too bad all I had with me to take pictures was my cell phone. We have some talented and creative dancers in Lakeland!

Wow! Thanks for sharing. It looks like there were more than 300 people there to me, but who’s counting!

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was that many. The sidewalks were packed, and several people have told me that they couldn’t see the performance for the crowd.

Thanks for sharing the video, I enjoyed it very much. I was raised in Lakeland but havent been back there for years. I am very proud of the young people in lakeland and their talent. I now live in the Atlanta area and I miss my home town. It is good to see Lakeland has culture.
