If you love bbq you won’t want to miss this years Lakeland Pig Festival! It’s all happening Friday and Saturday (January 30-31). Bring your cash and exchange for pig bucks. That’s the only way to buy food and drinks.
The Lakeland Pig Festival is also the Florida State Barbecue Championship. From the JLGL web site – “What started as a small festival in 1997 has evolved into a festival with over 300 BBQ teams and over 30,000 in attendance!
The Junior League of Greater Lakeland (JLGL) has provided volunteers to help run the event for the last decade. The pig festival has generated over $100,000 in contributions to charitable organizations within Polk County since 1997.”
