Do You Know of a __________?

I trust people. Much more then I trust advertisements, banner ads or corporate heads talking at me. I trust when my neighbor tells me the chicken dish at so and so is terrible and when they say the red box is cool you need to try it out.

Since I am still relatively new to Lakeland I have struggled through finding medical people, good eats, recreation areas and other normal every day type activity needs. I have decided to try and help at least one person this year by making recommendations of people, services, businesses and other things I would recommend in Lakeland. Thus a new weekly post entitled, “Do You Know a _________?”

I will pick a different theme with each theme lasting no longer then a month. I am starting with medical professionals in Lakeland. Each week I will publish who I actually see and personally recommend. If you don’t like my recommendation or have a recommendation of your own you can comment on the post. Thus starting a discussion and maybe a more exhaustive list for people to consider.

The column isn’t going to focus on negative experiences unless something happens and I feel other Lakelanders NEED to know to stay away at all cost. It will be positive recommendations so you at least know one person who recommends a service you might need.

On a side note I am not being endorsed, paid or supported by anyone I recommend. I simply like them, use them and recommend them. There might be an exception, although I can’t think of one yet, and I will be sure to disclose right away if there is.
