One of the things I’ve heard before, from people who aren’t terribly familiar with Polk Museum of Art and everything it does, is, “You guys should offer art classes.” Well, prayers are answered! (Actually, we’ve been offering classes for years, but that’s not the point.)
Spring Art classes will start at the Museum on February 3rd. Classes are available for children, teens, and adults, and in a variety of media. And let me just mention, I love the Life Drawing classs. I don’t get to take it very often, but as an artist who has always loved drawing the figure, just having a model available is a fantastic thing. But you don’t have to be an artist to take the class. I know of a couple who took the class last year, with no prior art training, and had a blast. They were starting to see improvement in their own drawing abilities just in those 8 classes.
I know all the other classes are great, too, though, so if one catches your fancy, sign up! You won’t regret it.
