Guns for Money
Yes, you can get money for your guns. Check in the couch, look under your car seat, grab that rifle off your neighbor’s gun rack, pull out that pistol with the serial number filed off that you were saving for a special occasion. They’re all worth $50.
The Lakeland Police Department has decided to host their first “gun buy back” meet and greet. While supplies last, LPD will trade your oily old guns for $50 gift certificates. Now, gift cards are in shorter supply than guns, so get there early. When the cards run out, LPD will still accept your slightly-used guns and give back the good feeling that another pistol won’t be laying around the living room.
LPD is not using city funds to buy the guns. Donations and money seized from criminal activity was used to fund the program. If you’d like to ask LPD any questions about the event, call Jack Gillen, Public Information Officer, at 863 834-6949

Getting a $50 gift card isn’t worth the effort it would take to pry my guns from my cold, dead hands.
BWAHAHAHAHAHA

I’m not squeamish. Prying guns from cold dead hands — 5 minutes tops. That comes out to $1000 an hour work. Couldn’t pass that up.
I’d be respectful, of course. But I couldn’t pass up $1000 an hour.
Please note I understand I’d need 19 others with cold, dead hands grasping guns to get the full $1000. This was just a thought exercise.

I’ll buy ‘em for $55… and then I’ll sell them for fair market price and make a fortune.

I’ll buy ‘em for $75. Hell, I could always use more guns.

I don’t think they have to be working.

$81! And hopefully it’s working so I can get Ken’s. :)
For $81, I can fix ‘em, sell ‘em, and STILL make a nice profit.

Even if they aren’t working, it’s relatively simple and inexpensive to fix most mechanical problems in guns. I think this is crazy. Who would seriously do this when they could turn to craigslist or gunbroker or another medium to sell their guns at market value?
