The League of Women Voters (LWV) is having election forums this month in Bartow. They will also be broadcast live on PGTV.
Tonight, Oct. 7, 7:00 pm will be the Constitutional & Charter Amendments Forum.
Oct. 14, Tue., 7:00 pm County Commission Candidate Forum
Oct. 21, Tue., 7:30 pm Congressional & Legislative Candidates Forum
All these will take place in the County Admin Bldg. Commission Chambers located at 330 W Church St, Bartow. If I remember correct from the last time I was at a forum, the LWV allows written questions to be asked.
PGTV can be seen on Bright House channel 622, Verizon FiOS channel 20, Comcast channel 33 and on polk-county.net
UPDATE 10/8/08: Last nights forum began at 7:30pm. I am getting conflicting times for the other two forum start times. I spoke with one LWV person to let them know what their web site said was listed for times vs what they had on the printed agenda. They will either be at 7:00 or 7:30pm.
