You know you have an opinion about Lakeland’s growth and development. Are you tired of sharing it at the water cooler? Need a new set of ears to hear your opinions? The City of Lakeland’s Community Development Department is asking for a few minutes of your time to share your opinion with them.
You don’t even have to leave your desk. From today until September 19th, the city has an online survey at:
It’s a very simple set of multiple choice questions that shouldn’t take more than five minutes to finish.
If you wish, you can leave your email address to enter a raffle for an $100 Publix gift card. (The winner must be a resident of the Lakeland Electric Service Area. An email address is not required to fill out the survey, just to enter the raffle.)
The few questions track opinions on rate of growth, density and smart growth tools, housing affordability, alternative transportation, water conservation, and quality of life.
Of course, there are the usual demographic questions, but the survey is anonymous if you choose not to leave your email address.
If you have any questions about the survey or Lakeland’s long range planning, you can call Senior Planner Rick Perez at 863-834-6011.
