I agree with KCook. Study who’s running, what their record is and isn’t and vote with confidence that the person you want to represent you has your goals in mind. No matter what the party.

Well, the Christian Coalition-Polk County branch did put the train issue on its questionnaire, though they thought the issue was the bullet train and not commuter/freight rail. But, then, that’s a different wing of the Republican Party. Maybe you can to subscribe to their e-mail alerts.

Once again, another insightful look at the political machine from our friend BT. We all know that there is a great deal of jostling behind the scenes as the political process creeps forward, churning out laws, resolutions and ordinances. I was listening to NPR yesterday and a woman being interviewed said, “It is good to be a Democrat again. I don’t have to hide my political affiliation any longer.” No matter what your affiliation, get out and vote and don’t vote the party line – vote for the candidate that you feel will do the best job for our community, state and country.
