Douglas County Sheriff Phil Miller says the men asked to test-drive a Ford Mustang at a Lithia Springs dealership yesterday. Miller says one pulled a knife on the salesman who accompanied them and made him withdraw $100 from an ATM.

They allegedly taped up the salesman and dropped him off at a park & ride lot, but he managed to use his cell phone to call 911.

Officers chased the car west on I-20 at speeds of more than 100 mph before the crash at an exit.

Steven Swords of Albertville, Alabama, and Robert Lewis of Ellijay, Georgia, were each charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and other charges.– WAFF

According to TBO.com those are the same two who recently tied up and robbed a Lakeland real estate agent.

Update: Looking over Robert Lewis’ record he was convicted in 1987 of aggravated child molestation
