Want to add a little zip to your online newspaper? Maybe bring a little TV to the old grey lady? Then take some time tomorrow to join with the Tampa Bay Association of Black Journalists to explore Multimedia reporting.
The group will focus on members who have used their TV or newspaper experience to expand what they could offer online.
On deck so far: Ken Knight, multimedia reporter for Media General; Demorris Lee, reporter for the St. Petersburg Times, who recently completed a multimedia reporting fellowship at the Knight Digital Media Center; Boyzell Hosey, director of photography at the St. Petersburg Times, Ken Irby, photography and multimedia expert at the Poynter Institute for Media Studies and Eric Deggans, St. Petersburg Times TV/Media critic and editor/creator of The Feed blog.
The event starts Saturday (March 8) at 11 am at the Tampa Tribune, 200 S. Parker, in Tampa. It’s free and you don’t need a press card to attend. Though a license to speculate might get you a cup of coffee.
I hope to see you there.
