I've really enjoyed making the maps. Well, at least after I worked out the kinks. It has really helped me understand the nature of property crimes in our city. When people ask what property crime is like in Lakeland, they don't have to depend on hearsay. They can look it up themselves. I think LPD should be commended for making the data available for the public. It's part of a pattern of openness that I believe is far too rare in government. Thanks. When people ask what property crime is like in Lakeland, they don’t have to depend on hearsay. They can look it up themselves.

Your assistance has helped get vital crime information out to the community ~ a service that we hear is very popular with residents who want to know what crimes are happening in their neighborhoods.
