The work around Lake Mirror has finished in time for the 8th annual Lake Mirror Classic Auto Festival. On Saturday, officials expect 500 show vehicles and 35,000 people throughout downtown and around the beautiful Frances Langford Promenade.
The event is free to the public and includes 16 blocks of show cars, antique motorcycles, classic wooden boats, and a group of Amphicars that will splash into Lake Mirror at 1:00 pm Saturday.
Food and souvenir vendors will line the Lemon Street Promenade. Many may not realize that food and beverage sales help raise funds for Junior Achievement, Pied Piper Players, Boy Scouts, The First Tee, Historic Lakeland, and Lakeland Regional Cancer Center. More event information at the festival’s website. For some photos of the Friday events see the gallery at Polk County Sports Marketing.
