Over the last few weeks I’ve attended numerous meetings about property taxes here in Lakeland. Two things are evident: the city needs money, and citizens want services. They go hand-in-hand, but logic doesn’t follow when you mention “property taxes.”
Anyway, I was ranting to my wife — which is not an unusual occurrence — about overhearing someone talk about property taxes. She suggested I quit bending her ear, and irritate yours.
So, here is Lakeland Local’s first podcast — Lakeland Tax Rant. Please forgive me.
