Beating a Dead Horse Department: USF Lakeland

While doing a little update work for Polk County Rail Hub, I came across an article on Polk County. A little paragraph caught my attention:

The proposed University of South Florida Polytechnic College on Interstate 4 and the Polk County Parkway will also teach logistics management and radio frequency identification to support the needs of Polk County’s growing transportation companies. From USF Lakeland to USF Polytech to University of South Florida Polytechnic College. The names just keep getting better.

I have to say that I’ve completely turned around now that I’ve learned the University plans to teach radio frequency identification. Can you imagine anything more exciting?

  1. Hey! Maybe they’ll invite Dan Rather as a Guest Speaker!!!

  2. “Keeps getting better” or keeps getting longer? Hey, RFID is an exciting technology that Walmart is forcing companies to waste hundreds of thousands of dollars on researching! USF might as well jump on the bandwagon.
