Revolution Comes to Lakeland

They’re assembling this week at Tigertown to welcome the Revolution. Patriots and Warriors will gather on the fields to plan battles.

Don’t call out the National Guard. These men aren’t taking up arms, just bats. On Tuesday, the independent Atlantic League opens a week of spring training here in Lakeland. The York Revolution join the league this year, and will play spring training games against both the Patriots and the Warriors. Not to mention the Barnstormers, Bears, Ducks, Bluefish, and Riversharks.

I don’t see any Atlantic League news on the Flying Tigers website. Starting Thursday, I bet baseball fans will be welcomed to watch games around 10 am and 1 pm.
